As a result, there is a need to increase free space on the computer's hard drive, and urgently.

The usual recommendation in such cases is, of course, to optimize the hard disk space, i.e. search and removal of unnecessary files, games, programs. However, this recommendation assumes that you will spend some time searching for and deleting unnecessary data, moreover, suddenly you simply do not have such unnecessary data, and you may need to delete data that you do not want to delete. In other words, this method of increasing free space on a computer is not always the most effective, on the other hand, with it, in some cases, you can free up a fairly large amount of space on your hard drive, since we often store a lot of unnecessary files on a computer.
The second recommendation for increasing space on your computer is the ability to use external drives: external hard drives, flash drives, and so on. However, this recommendation also has disadvantages, firstly, if you do not have an external drive at hand, and you need to save the data right now, this recommendation will not be very useful for you, since you will first need to find this external drive. Secondly, if you do not have an external drive, you will need to buy one, because external hard drives, flash drives cost money.
Well, the third recommendation, which we will talk about in more detail today, is to use cloud storage that allows you to store files on the Internet.
The bottom line is this: we connect cloud storage to a computer and use it as if it were a regular hard drive. To work with it, we do not need to open a browser and so on.
This method, of course, has its drawbacks, for example, you need the Internet to use cloud storage, and you can also get a small amount of free space in this way for free, and if you need more space to store files, you will need to pay money, albeit small, but still.
A quick way to increase space on your computer
So, you have a need to quickly increase the space on your computer, for example, in order to save some files, but you don’t have space on your computer, just like you don’t have an external drive, and you need to save files at this particular moment.
What to do? The answer is to connect cloud storage in just a couple of minutes.
The next question arises - which cloud storage can be connected quickly? The answer is anyone on which you have an account.
Almost everyone has an account on Yandex, Mail or Google services, since almost everyone has email on at least one of the listed services. And these services just provide cloud storage services. Perhaps you have even heard of such services as Yandex.Disk, Cloud Mail.ru and Google Drive.
There are other cloud services that specialize in providing space for storing files on the Internet, however, most likely, you are not registered on these services and you will first need to register, and today we are talking about a rapid increase in space on your computer, which is why these are listed services such as: Yandex, Mail and Google, where at least one you are definitely registered.
Each of these services provides absolutely free small free space for storing files, but sometimes even this space is enough to solve the problem associated with an urgent increase in free space on the computer.
So, for example, free of charge is available to us:
Yandex.Disk - 10 gigabytes;
Cloud Mail.ru - 8 gigabytes;
Google Drive - 15 gigabytes.

Now we will look at a way to quickly connect the Mail.ru cloud to a computer, using Windows 10 as an example.
This method consists in connecting the so-called "Disk-O", which will look like a regular local disk
, and it will be possible to use the standard Windows Explorer, by default its size will be 8 gigabytes.
However, in case of urgent need, you can buy a seat, for example, for a while. Mail offers several tariffs, so at the moment 64 gigabytes will cost you 75 rubles a month. If you need more, for example, 1 terabyte, then pay 699 rubles and you will get this place.

This is a program that allows you to connect Mail.ru Cloud to your computer like a regular disk. In addition, it allows you to connect other cloud storages and switch between clouds without opening a browser.

Step 1 - Download the Disk-O program
First we need to download the Disk-O program, for this go to the official website https://disk-o.cloud and click "Download for Windows".
As a result, you will download the installer program.
Step 2 - Installing Disk-O
Run the downloaded file. After launching the installer, click "Start Installation".

As a result, the program will be installed.
Step 3 - Setting up the Disk-O program
Now you need to configure the Disk-O program, in particular, connect cloud storage, in our case we connect the Mail.Ru Cloud, since it is connected for free (using this program), for this we click the Add button.

Enter your credentials from Mail and click Connect.

Step 4 - Using the Disk
After all the above actions, the local disk will be connected, in my case it is disk Z, the storage of which is located in the cloud.

If you go to "This computer", then this disk will be displayed for us, and you can use it in the same way as other local disks.

However, there are a couple of things to note here:
If the program is turned off, the disk will turn off;
If the Internet is lost, the cloud will be unavailable (it is better to turn off the program).
Here we are with you and considered a quick way to increase free disk space, which involves connecting cloud storage, in particular "Disk-O" from Mail. However, you can connect another service in the same way, i.e. downloading the official program and installing it. You can even connect more than one cloud storage, but several, and thus it’s a good idea to increase your space on your computer, and for free.
If you need a lot of free space, you can pay a tariff and significantly expand the space on your computer.
